What's wrong:
The document "Configuring the OSF/Motif window manager" (June 12, 1989
draft) states that the shell used for the "f.exec" command is /bin/sh;
the behavior of the system seems to indicate that the value of the
environment variable $SHELL is used instead.
What should have happened:
Personally, I'd prefer the use of /bin/sh; however, fixing the
documentation is another option.
