What were you trying to do?
delete all messages sent before a particular date from a
folder full of spam
mitmailscan --by-uid --mailbox INBOX.Spamwindow --id-only --before 01-sep-2004 | xargs mitmaildel --debug --by-uid --mailbox INBOX.Spamwindow
What went wrong?
mitmailscan failed to flag some of the messages as old enough
Yo, got any documentation, or other info?
I suspect a failure to parse the date field some spammers send:
