What were you trying to do?
Play an mp3 file from AFS on my IntelliStation E Pro
workstation using "mgp123 -b 8192".
(/mit/infoagents/arch/i386_rhel3/bin/mpg123) After starting
mpg123, I adjusted the volume with aumix, and then quit aumix
with no obvious problem.
What's wrong:
After the music finished playing, the machine hung. No
response on the X server to moving the mouse, no response on
the network to ping.
This happened twice in a row.
What should have happened:
I should've gotten a shell prompt back so I could play
something else.
