What were you trying to do?
I was trying to set up the desktop background in the new Athena release. I have a picture which does not cover the whole screen, and therefore the top and the bottom of the background are solid colors.
What's wrong:
Right click on the desktop brings a context menu, selection of Change Desktop background brings a dialog. I chose the scaled option for the picture. My Background style is Vertical Gradient, so I have two colors to choose: top and bottom. Clicking on the top color button brings a color selection dialog. There is a field called Color Name. I entered #FFFFFF and click OK. Nothing happens, the selected color does not change. I was able to select the color I wanted by adjusting it from the fields labeled Red, Green and Blue; given that I was able to find a workaround I would say that this is a minor thing, but still I felt that a bug report needs to be send and probably forwarded to the Nautilus developers.
What should have happened:
The selected color should have changed or I should have not been able to enter a new one in the boc named Color Name.
