Here are three minor problems. Since they seem related to a
few recent messages regarding version 6.xx bugs, I thought they
may be of some interest. The first 2 occur often -- every few
days (#1) and every login (#2).

  (1) For some time, the loads on m9-516-1 (an RT running 5.5T)
have occassionally and for no apparent reason jumped (and then
remained) at 1+ or even 2+ or 3+ even though little or no work
was being done (according to ps -uax). Only a reboot would reset
the reported workload to normal levels.

  (2) For the last 6 months, I get a message
                sh: xxx Trace/BPT trap
whenever I login on m9-516-1 (where xxx is some process number I guess).
I believe I also got it under 5.5R.

  (3) From Friday to Sunday, I left the RT login sessions and
several windows active. Upon returning, I could kinit & read
mail and all the packs were still active. However, an emacs
process had disappeared from the screen though the process still
appeared in the ps -ux output and was reflected in the xload.
Trying a new emacs (via emacs &) started the process & added 1 to
the load factor but never produced a new window. Ditto for a
third and fourth try. Logging out and logging back in (without
deactivating) produced the same result -- i.e. no apparent
problems other than emacs jobs that never did anything despite
continuing to run and adding 1.0 to the load factor. When I
rebooted, all was well again.
