The LaTeX bug which you reported is a known problem with the version
of LaTeX currently in the field. The buggy binary will either be
removed or replaced with a working version when new software goes out
into the field some time before the end of the summer.
In the meantime, you should use the version of LaTeX in the SIPB
locker.
