We also had a report of this behavior from a client in OLC. That
report was also on a Linux machine. One of our consultants confirmed
that this problem (even on an account which has no dotfiles other
than the ones from /usr/prototype_user) seems to occur on Linux
machines, whereas it works fine on Suns.
