when using these as background (root) bitmaps (via xsetroot -bitmap
...), i encountered a curious thing. the first bitmap works fine as
the root pattern (no observed problems). however, when i use the
second bitmap (32x48) as the root pattern, things get a bit messy on
mono RTs; the root pattern gets kinda messed up. (try it yourself;
install 32x48 as your root pattern and then try an xrefresh,
iconifying a few windows, etc.)
i am tempted to believe that this is related to the non-power-of-2
dimension used in the second bitmap, but you'd have to do further
testing to make sure of that.
i've used the same bitmap as my root pattern on a megapel RT without
any trouble.
thanks
