What were you trying to do?
open the "preferences" from the "File" menu in Matlab
What's wrong:
The "preferences" window opens completely minimized, so that it's less than 1cm square. To buttons or text is visible, and the window cannot be re-sized.
What should have happened:
The window should open with it's normal size.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
This occasionally also happens when I use the "Run" icon in Matlab and the "change working directory" gui opens. In this case, however, if I close the window, then try again immediately, it works correctly.
This problem was occuring on a dell machine I had last month, as well as the one I am using now (Optiplex GX270)
