Is there any good argument for not allowing control-g to abort out of
the "Save buffer. . .(y or n)" state? I usually get to that state by
mistyping Control-X Control-F, and I too find it nerve racking to
thread my way back out through two yes/no questions that require
thinking to answer correctly.
I fixed this long ago (try running /mit/emacs/emacs on a Vax). It
just hasn't made it into most of the releases yet.
