Hi Asanka,

Sorry for the late response...

Are you still having your "Abort Interruption" problem with Mathematica? If yes, just a few follow-up questions:

1) would it be possible to send me an example to see if I can reproduce your problem?

2) does the problem happen on other platforms (Solaris Athena, Windows or Mac)?

3) does the problem happen for only one notebook or for many?

Thanks,

PS: For questions related to 3rd party software on Athena or elesewhere, it's better to use the address 3partysw@mit.edu rather than bugs@mit.edu. Thanks.

From: Asanka C Herath <asanka@MIT.EDU>

System name: meeko.mit.edu
Type and version:	i686 9.2.10 (with mkserv)
Display type:

Shell: /bin/athena/tcsh
Window manager: sawfish

What were you trying to do?

Interrupt a running evaluation using Kernel -> Interrupt
Evaluation or Kernel -> Abort Evaluation (in the Mathematica
	notebook interface).

What's wrong:

This didn't seem to have any effect. There were no visible or
audiable response. Also, the Interrupt Evaluation dialog
	never came up.

What should have happened:

In the case of Abort Evaluation, Mathematica should have
aborted the evaluation and returned $Aborted, while Interrupt
Evaluation should have brought up the Interrupt Evaluation
        dialog.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:

        Help section 1.3.12 Interrupting Calculations

It should be noted that when run as a console application,
i.e. 'math', then the evaluation can be interrupted as
        documented by C-c.
