Using the linux installer in the bootkit locker, if I
attempt to go to the "advanced" screen for entering
IP address configuration the following things happen:
1. It takes me to the advanced configuration screen
with the "use dhcp" "ip address" "netmask" "gateway"
"dns" fields -- all fields are blank (as they should be)
2. If I attempt to type anything in any of the fields
and hit tab enter or even the arrow keys to accept it
the installer errors and exits "installer exited unexpectedly,
resetting system" or something along those lines.
If I want to do an advanced configuration I have to
enter my IP address, let it try to guess (and guess wrong
mind you), then hit "back" on the next screen (the installer
and installer image screen). Once I hit "back" I can then
use the "advanced" button where it brings up the advanced
configuration screen with the (incorrect) values filled in.
I can then change those values no problem and continue.
I have never been able to get it to do anything but exit
and reboot from trying to go to the "advanced" screen without
entering anything in the IP address box, clicking ok, and
then coming back to the configuration.
