What were you trying to do?

Google search, starting from the location bar.

What's wrong:

If I type some random words into the location bar, I get a drop down, as
expected that offers 'Search for "foo, bar"' If I then hit <tab><enter>
it gets highlighted, but nothing happens; clicking doesn't help, either.

Also, if I start to type a known URL, I don't get any suggestions for
what to complete it to (just the 'search for' option).

My preferences have "location bar auto-complete" checked, and in the
advanced menu, "show list of matching results" and "show internet search
engine" checked (they haven't changed in some time).

I moved aside my history* while experimenting, and visited a few pages
to give me a new one.

On red-herring.mit.edu, which is at 9.2.14 (also from the dev cell), the
autocomplete doesn't provide anything, but the search option does function
normally. Since both machines have the package athena-mozilla-9.2-13,
I don't know what gives.
