I ran pine (the normal athena release pine) in a gnome-terminal
window. I then hit "quit" and exited pine. I proceeded to
do some work in the gnome-terminal window and text from the
pine window scrolled up from off the bottom of the gnome-terminal
window as I hit enter, ending up with something that looked like
this.
You can actually type through the text there, it's not "really"
on the line, it's just a visual effect.

This seems to happen for me fairly consistently on 9.2 suns in
the gnome-terminal window.
