Is there a way to check the consistency of file system aliases, i.e.,
verify that the targets exist? (This is not the same as requiring
existing targets when entering the aliases.)
It appears that only eight characters of the program name are
available (or recorded) when handling last-modified data; when I used
a version of smstest (modified for other reasons) that was going to
say "trepidation", moira displayed "modified ... with trepidat".
The "_help" information from smstest isn't very explanatory as to
types or uses. A boolean kind of field for one transaction I tried
apparently wanted "0" when I tried to feed it "no", and it complained.
