This is by no means an important bug, but the update script on Linux says:

Update complete; please reboot for changes to take effect.

even if the update failed.  (As mine did, because I had some custom 
RPMs).  As far as I can tell, there's no need for a reboot if the 
update failed.

Looking at /afs/athena/system/rhlinux/control/update reveals that 
this happens because the

if [ -n "$auto" ]; then

block at the end has no way of knowing whether the update failed. 
Like I said, it's not terribly important, since most people doing 
manually updates are clueful enough to parse the output correctly, 
but I thought I'd point it out...
