Well, Mark, I am unable to duplicate this on your workstation. I
login as me with a bogus passwd, then as me with a valid password. My
homedir (on eurydice) attaches, and my ~/.{login,cshrc} happen as
usual.
It seems that <probe> is having problems of a similar sort (also, it's
worth noting that you both use the same fileserver). Maybe this is
the key?
