What's wrong:
The manual page for dent includes an RCS header, which appears (most
likely) because the comment leader is improperly defined in the RCS
file.
An excerpt from the man1 file:

What should have happened:
The comment leader should be set with rcs -c'.\"'
Other man pages with $Log:$ in them are subject to the same problem.
