If there is another 9.1 patch release, it will definitely include the
updated kernel module.  But it's somewhat unlikely that there will be
one; we don't generally consider local root exploits to be security
emergencies (except on the dialups, of course, but they can be fixed
there without a patch release), and the 9.2 release is in danger of
falling behind schedule.
