Hello,

An OLC user came to the office today and showed me an interesting
StarOffice bug in the way it handles RTF files. The user has been
working with RTF documents quite frequently. Sometimes, she noticed
that when she opened RTF files she'd been working on earlier, certain
lines would be formatted incorrectly, absorbing the type style
(bold/italic/etc) from the line before it. For example if two lines
are separated by a carriage return, and only the first line is italic,
the second line may appear italic the next time the file is opened.

An effective workaround seems to be to work with files as .sxw
Staroffice documents, and only Save As RTF to save copies. When RTF
files are worked with directly within StarOffice, they seem to get
chewed up as described.

Thanks,
