The errors locking the ticket file sound rather unusual; I don't think
I've seen those before. It may be that some other program running has
the ticket file locked longer than it should have, although the
Kerberos library should be trying to keep that time to a minimum.
(Perhaps the program is paging in from disk or waiting for network
responses?) I'll forward that to the Kerberos people.
The file system attach timeouts may be a result of overloaded servers,
so close to the end of the term. The problems that I've seen have
been mostly sporadic, though menelaus and cyrus appear to be the
servers most often having the problems. (You or someone else may be
seeing different results.) Cyrus is where the sipb file system is,
among others; that may be part of the problem.
I'm not sure what we can do about the attach timeouts, unfortunately,
except perhaps reduce the load on some of the servers....
