	I looked into this; the problem was that someone had edited
/etc/athena/inetd.conf on csw to remove the command line flags ftpd was
run with.  In this configuration, ftp'ing into the machine does in fact
consistantly hang.  Adding back -C to the ftpd invocation makes this
problem go away.

	This is a bug (I don't know if it's in the upstream krb5 ftpd or
our patches to it) but since the default configuration works and the
only way to get into the broken one is to go out of your way to hurt
yourself, I don't think it's a very interesting one.
