Hello

After receiving recent information about the magnitude of Linux machines
being used - we (SSIT) are now ramping up support of Websis with Mozilla on
Linux.

Please have any reported application problems similar to this - sent to
websis-notify@mit.edu, so we can address them.

We are in the process of investigating these problems and hope to have a
resolution in place soon.

Thanks
Andrea Collins

A user came to OLC today with the following problem:

In trying to submit data in websis (e.g. entering the PE lottery),
mozilla believes it is downloading a file of type
"application/x-sh",
and thus fails to submit the data. If he selects "open this

> Hello
>
> This problem presents itself when using Mozilla or Netscape on a
Linux
> machine.
>
> Please switch to a Solaris workstation and you should have no
problem with
> the Pre-Registration application.

However, the problem *was* on a Sun workstation running
Solaris-Athena.

Netscape worked fine for the user as an alternative, but this
seemed
like a bug that you folks would want to know about...
