Subject: Bug in Athena Installer?

I have a athentication problem in going from 9.1.17 to 9.1.8

Machine: 400 MHz Pentium
	 256 MB ram
	  60 GB Hard drive
ATI 3D Rage AGP Pro video card 8 MB ram

Using the the current boot diskette (July 9 ) I installed 9.1.17 last week.
After beating XF86Config into submission the system worked. I registered the
system so the update to 9.1.18 could be taken. Did the update. I could no
longer log on with my own identity (root was all right with its private
passwd).

The message I get is:

	Login Failed
Unable to authenticate you, kerberos failure 31:
	Can't decode authenticator(krb_rd_req)

I fiddle a while getting nowhere. I decide to do a complete reinstall early
this morning. Beat XF86Config into submission. The very first login attempt
at run level 5 fails in exactly the same way. (This was before loging in as
root to take the machine private)

Any suggestions or insights appreciated!

Thanks,
Paul Warren
