Unlike most hosts at MIT, m11-111-1 doesn't seem to have an NFS daemon
on it.
"most hosts"? I'm afraid you're mistaken. The bulk of Athena hosts
are workstations, and they aren't running NFS servers either. The RVD
servers don't run NFS servers either.
dialup.mit.edu is supposed to be a `dialup workstation', not a
fileserver; it will not do NFS service, as it does not have any
filesystems worth exporting.
