What were you trying to do?

Open a URL link in an email I was viewing with Athena pine
(/usr/athena/bin/pine.real). Since pine can view HTML emails,
it can also allow URL opening with the "url-viewers" setting.

What's wrong:

By default (on my account, a user's, and the paco account),
pine has the "url-viewers" setting set to "htmlview". To
check this, follow (S)etup -> (C)onfig and SPACE to the very
last setting available. With this default setting, following
a HTML link with the right-arrow-key does not work. The error
message is "No URL-Viewer application defined. Define now?"

What should have happened:

The default setting should have worked and used the script
/usr/athena/bin/htmlview to open Mozilla or lynx. The reason
it doesn't is some kind of path confustion, because I checked
that htmlview is there.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:

I see two ways to fix this. The RIGHT way is to figure out
why Athena pine can't find applications such as htmlview and
fix it. The EASY way is to specify the default setting for
pine's "url-viewers" as "/usr/athena/bin/htmlview". The
problem with the EASY way is that a user will get confused
when he tries to change it to "netscape" or if there is no way
to make the change to all the users who have run pine before.
I discovered this when answering an OLC question with topic
mail from user <richak>, currently in the OLC queue.
