Netscape -> Mozilla profile conversion problem

So I finally decided to try to see if I could get Mozilla running on
my account. It asks me if I'd like to convert my existing Netscape
profile--ok. Prior experimentation showed me that clicking "cancel"
kills Mozilla, so let's try clicking "convert profile." A window
proclaiming that this might take a while shows up, and boy, it's
not kidding--I've been sitting here, on a Sun Blade 100, for perhaps
15 or 20 minutes, and it's just sitting there spinning.
I would prefer to maintain some of my Netscape settings, but I've
clearly tripped over some bug in the profile converter. Are there
any particular known issues?
