I verified both that it doesn't work for her, and that the second window
does work under my login.

I suspect that your next step is indeed to have her to tar up both
her .netscape and .mozilla directories, and to put them where you can
read them.

Nisha, how about running:
  mkdir pickup.mozilla
  fs sa pickup.mozilla tbelton read
  tar pc .netscape > pickup.mozilla/netscape.tar
  tar pc .mozilla > pickup.mozilla/mozilla.tar

It will make all your netscape and mozilla configs available to Todd
for testing; Todd's the maintainer of the mozilla install, and can be
trusted to treat the data with due confidentiality.
