The following causes a VS2000 to crash with message "trap type 8":
1. Run dbx on a program which attempts to open the 25 pin serial
port with nothing connected (the program will stop here, waiting
for the device to be ready).
2. Interrupt dbx with ^C (the subprocess is still hung).
3. Quit dbx
I assume the cause is related to killing a traced process waiting on this
device.
If you know of a workaround to allow debugging of programs which use this
device until this bug is fixed, send it to "samkho".
