The problem you are experiencing is that df -i will not work with NFS.
If you see the man page, it says:
: -i Report also the number of inodes which are used and
: free on localaly mounted filesystems only.

: The -i option does not work over NFS
If you type df -i, it will only report the hard disk info. If you force
it by specifying a filesystem, you will get the problems you mentioned.
You will not have any problems writing to Hera, unless you are over
quota.
