Please consider configuring RT's with more virtual memory, if you have
that option. Running out of vm in emacs can be a real lose, and it has
happened to me 3 times now (twice while running KCL, once while running
saber).
I know RT's are real dogs when they page a lot, but it's probably better
to degrade gracefully than catastrophically.
