I've seen this problem too, but in my case it's because I've left an
xterm in 'secure keyboard' mode.
Bugs, I think the problem here is that when xss aborts blanking like
this it fails to release the things that it was able to grab. I've
always had to log in remotely and kill off xss to get focus back.

Nothing--literally.
What's wrong:
Display froze. Console window showed two error messages:
"xss: couldn't grab pointer! (AlreadyGrabbed)"
"xss: unable to grab keyboard or mouse! Blanking aborted."
What should have happened:
Normal xss behavior.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:

I was running StarOffice 6.0 at the time, plus exmh and Netscape
4.78. With no response from the keyboard or the mouse, the only thing
I could do was to turn off the machine and reboot.
