It's lying around on some workstations because they tracked it in from
the 9.0 release and we never deleted dead files in the 9.1 release.
We'll fix that at some point.
I modified the xemacs locker this morning to work on Solaris (I added
a front-end script pointing LD_LIBRARY_PATH at
/mit/xemacs/arch/sun4x_58/lib and copied a libpng.so.2 there from the
9.0 release).
If people find other locker software using libpng.so.2, they should
definitely report it; I'm going on the assumption that xemacs is the
only one. In the future we'll try to be more careful about breaking
shared libraries, but for this instance it doesn't seem to make sense
to go to the effort of making a libpng.so.2 appear in this and all
future Athena releases.
