I was able to reproduce this (on a Sun; are you using that platform?)-
on several attempts, I also got a situation where the dsm backup
window was "frozen"- none of the menus or buttons worked, and there
was no border. I could only get rid of it by killing the process.
I think the problem is that there's some X incompatibility between the
version of the sawfish window manager in Athena 9.1 and the current dsm GUI.
I presume you didn't have this problem on Athena 9.0?
I believe I've found a work-around: try logging in using Login Options ->
login using Dash interface. That seems to fix it for me.
I'll be installing a new TSM version this Summer and I hope that will make
the problem go away.
