I do not see this behavior using the standard MH tools on athena
(i.e. at your site). You probably wanted to report this to the local
bug reporting list (which I've cc'd), but since it doesn't seem to
affect everyone, I'll recommend that you ask an OLC question on the
topic so that someone can help you find what's going wrong for you. Be
sure to tell them what client you're using (command-line tools, xmh,
exmh, mh-e, etc.).
