Ken>	Please explain "toasted". What fails? In what manner does it fail?
Ken>	What are you trying to do? How do you know these programs are broken

I have the following setup, where discussd is in /usr/local and the
entry in inetd.conf points there. When I copied /usr/etc/discussd to
/usr/local/discussd and ran discuss from a *remote* machine, it returned
an error :

Connection reset by peer : ...

Then I tried it from the same machine the meeting is on, and got the
same error. This would imply thats both discussd and disserve has
problems.

I copied the discussd that <probe> was running on odie and then remote
connections worked fine. I was still having problems with running
discuss locally as it was using disserve from the packs.

As for my configuration, I only have one meeting in /usr/spool/discuss
created by /mit/sipb/rtbin/mkds. I do have srvtab for discuss on local
machine.

One funny thing though, locally on the machine that the meeting was on,
everything worked when I ran it from /mit/sipb/rtbin/{discuss,mkds}
after getting Richard discussd, but /usr/athena/{discuss,mkds} did not
work at all.

Hope that is more informative.

PS: I will test it out further and see if I can come up with anything
    else.
