What's wrong:
A very-minor-and-probably-not-worth-fixing problem: when boot waits 30
seconds for you to give a kernel, if start typing after 28 seconds and
don't finish by the end, it will use the default in the middle of your
word. (i.e., typing a key does not turn off the timer).
What should have happened:
Pressing a key should have turned off the timer.
