FrameMaker 5.5.6 exec script broken on SGI

When attempting to run FrameMaker this afternoon (Sunday
20 January 2002) on oliver.mit.edu, an SGI O2, I see the
following failure:
oliver% add frame
oliver% maker
attach: /afs/athena.mit.edu/software/frame_v5.5.6 attached to /mit/frame_v5.5.6 for filesystem frame_v5.5.6
Exec of maker failed -- please report this error
Perhaps this is related to the planned deletion of 5.5.6
for the Sun platform. My understanding is that 5.5.6 for
SGI's remains supported (though discouraged), and should
remain installed.
I've also replicated this problem on a cluster machine.
