/usr/doc/run/Ind.i? are in vax byte order. this is true
in paris:source, rtsource, and the rt 6.1c release pack.
these files are effectively object files. (they are used
to resolve bibliographic references in other materials in
/usr/doc). this makes sense for source building, but is
broken w.r.t. usage by others, particularly given the
fact that the vax order format is preserved in the rtsource
and the rt distributions.
this would not matter if we built all the PS and LPT files
implied by the sources in /usr/doc, but, given that we do
not, it would be am improvement to provide a buildable
environment for those who can utilise same.
