What were you trying to do?
- running a simulation overnight that involves a .MEX file called from
a .M file
What's wrong:
- after the calculations, basic commands were unavailable (ls,cd,pwd)
(see bottom), so the .M file execution was interrupted
What should have happened:
- change directory and save workspace there (fortunately, the save
command was still working, so I could enter it manually when I
returned and no data was lost)
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
- After saving my data, I entered 'quit' and ended up with the
following crash report. After that, I tried 'quit' another time and
got another crash report, this time with the heading 'Segmentation
violation detected'. I then just closed the matlab windiw, logged out
and back in, and things seem to work normally now. I'd just like to know
what went wrong so that I can be sure not to lose data on future
overnight simulations...
