Upon trying to update an 8.4.26 SS5 to 9.0, the machine reboots into
the unpacked miniroot, panics with
Cannot assemble drivers for root /iommu@0,10000000/sbus@0,10001000/espdma@5,8400000/esp@5,8800000/sd@3,0:b
Cannot mount root on /iommu@0,10000000/sbus@0,10001000/espdma@5,8400000/esp@5,8800000/sd@3,0:b fstype ufs
...and falls into a reboot-panic loop.
