Hi,
This doesn't sound like an Athena bug, but rather a machine that is either
having hardware trouble or has been messed up and needs to be reinstalled.
Such cases should be reported to hotline@mit.edu, which is the group that
services the cluster machines. Since I'm in the area, I'll look at the machine
for a minute and forward the info to hotline if appropriate. If there aren't
any objections, we'll probably just close this bug report.
