I'm getting this error from rcp (typed on althea, with appropriate
tickets):
althea# rcp /mit/opdoc/750s/passwd.proto trillian:/etc/passwd.local
rcp: /mit/opdoc/750s/passwd.proto: file changed size
When I check the file /etc/passwd.local on trillian, it turns out to
have to correct size. *However* it does not contain the contents of
the new /etc/passwd.local. Or the old passwd.local. Or just althea's
passwd.local. The file contains text which must have come from the
kernel memory of the local workstation (althea). I can't see where
else it would be coming from. Here are the contents: (Note:
everything after the line "TELECOM.MIT.EDU bitsy.mit.edu" is also in
the local passwd files.)
