Emacs manual not referred to in linux info directory

On an athena-linux machine, running emacs, and then C-h i brings up a
directory of info manuals which does not include a reference to the
emacs manual, so the usual command C-h i m emacs <RET> doesn't work.The
/usr/athena/info/dir file, which is present on the athena Solaris boxes,
seems to be missing on the linux machines, and this may be the cause of
the problem.
