Well, that does work, but perhaps an easier method is to use the existing
"-f" option.  Check the manpage.  I use it all the time:

attach -f -w -m /mit/sipbwrite sipb

Not necessary.  It seems that the designers of 'attach' are one step ahead
of you.  :-)
