What were you trying to do?
gnome-terminal normally hides the cursor when it is completely
within the Terminal window and keys are typed.
What's wrong:
The cursor is instead being replaced by what appears to
be a one-pixel dot.
What should have happened:
I reckon it should have been completely hidden.
