Athena development is running at about two thirds of the staff level
as it had four years ago; I'm afraid this kind of thing is only going
to become more common. :/

That said, this summer's release uses Red Hat 7.1, and therefore
kernel version 2.4.x, and thus has a decent chance of solving the
problem independent of us.
