This may seem petty, but the grammar of the following message has been
bugging me for the past two and a half years, and I've finally seen it one
time too many:
Authentication negotiation has failed, which is required for
encryption.
This makes it sound as if the failure of authentication negotiation is
requisite for encryption -- exactly the opposite of the intended meaning.
As a fix, I propose the following wording:
Negotiation of authentication, which is required for encryption,
has failed.
