What were you trying to do?
Type, just as xterm had started up, before a shell prompt
appeared.
What's wrong:
The xterm went disappeared and the console window logged:
20:59 xterm: Error 1, errno 14: Bad address
What should have happened:
The keystrokes should have been queued or dropped, but the
xterm should not have died.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
This may be new in 8.4. I've noticed it a bunch of times on Suns,
and never before 8.4; but that may not mean anything.
My dotfiles are a little strange, but I don't see how they could
account for this.
