I used to see this regularly on the old cutter-john when I was
updating it manually. I think I tracked that down to something that
was my own fault (not shutting down X before taking the update comes
to mind as a likely possibility). Obiviously this shouldn't be a
problem with an automatic update, which I gather is how your machine
got to 8.4.19.
